The Eagles broke the game open early with a brilliant first quarter before again upping the ante in the last to win 73-45.
With two rounds left before the finals, the second-placed Eagles have a two game-break on the fourth-placed Mean Machine, plus plenty of percentage.
The top five is settled, with fifth-placed Marong, which did not play on the weekend, now two wins plus percentage ahead of Pyramid Hill.
The Bulldogs hopes of returning to the finals for the first time since their 2017 premiership season were dealt a crushing blow following a gallant loss to league leaders Mitiamo at Mitchell Park.
The Superoos won 48-36 and, with a bye next week, look to have done enough to have sewn up the minor premiership.
Third-placed Calivil United also moved one win and percentage clear of Bridgewater courtesy of an 82-34 victory over Inglewood.
The Demons, who are the only team to have beaten top side Mitiamo this season, have now won six-straight games and seven of their last eight to well and truly stamp themselves as one of the form side's of the competition.
A qualifying final against Maiden Gully YCW looms in the first week of finals after the Eagles prevailed by 28-goals against the Mean Machine for the second time this year.
The Eagles asserted their authority early to lead 20-8 at quarter time.
Despite plenty of positional changes, Bridgewater was unable to bridge the gap to any great degree in the middle two quarters, before the Eagles ran away with the game with a 19-5 final term.
Maiden Gully YCW coach Jannaya Webb described the win as 'extra-pleasing' given the uncertainty of how both teams would perform following the COVID-19 lockdown.
"We really didn't know how we'd come out, not having played for so long and with just the one training session on Thursday night under our belt," she said.
"The girls certainly do their own thing, but we hadn't done any other training.
"(Midcourter) Tiarni Baxter was out so we were only running with the bare seven, with a couple of B-grade players on the bench.
"It was a nice run to have because we have another week off (bye) next week, so it's a bit patchy at the moment."
An across-the-board team effort was brilliantly led by wing defence Laura Butler, while the goaling combination of Tia Webb and Meg Patterson posed plenty of worries for the Mean Machine defence, particularly early in the contest.
Coach Webb was rapt to have sealed their spot in the top three.
After next weekend's bye, the Eagles will round out their home and away season against Inglewood on August 14.
