The driver and sole occupant, a 77-year-old man from Wheatsheaf, has died in Bendigo hospital after the crash on July 16.
Police believe the Mitsubishi Verada sedan was travelling east along the Pyrenees Highway about 4.15pm, when the driver appeared to lose control, clip a power pole and crash.

The driver was taken to Bendigo hospital from the scene.
Bendigo police are investigating the circumstances around the crash.
A total of 123 lives have been lost on Victorian roads this year to date.
