When the business was named a tier one exposure site on July 18, co-owner Ann Durie made calls to multiple cleaners to see if they could deep clean the shop.
"We were told we had to have the bakery professionally cleaned before we could re-open," she said.
"I spoke to Martin Leach from the Bendigo Cleaning Company and he was very lovely, but unfortunately he couldn't spare a cleaner to help us."
Thankfully, the shop was downgraded to a tier two site and staff were able to complete the clean themselves, ready to reopen on July 27.
"Martin saw our post and gave us a call, offering to donate some money to help us out."
Mr Leach said he felt for the small business.
"When I saw the post, I knew the team would have been struggling," he said.
"We've been lucky with our cleaning business because we've managed to stay open, but when you're closed and have more money going out than coming in, you need a little helping hand every once and a while."

He told Mrs Durie that he would donate $250 to put towards providing morning tea for the staff at the Wycheproof Hospital for the week.
"We are so fortunate to have been able to go up to the hospital and have them test us and help us through such a stressful time," Mrs Durie said.
"When Martin offered us the money, we were so thankful and overwhelmed by his generosity.
"While business has been slow since we opened on Tuesday, it's been steady and we can only hope it will pick up from here.
"We've been so supported over the last few weeks and we can't thank everyone enough for their kind words and assistance."
