The state government announced on Tuesday that community sport could resume from Wednesday, but no spectators are allowed at venues for at least the next two weeks.
The Loddon Valley Football Netball League will resume this Saturday, while the Heathcote District Football Netball League had originally planned to stay on hold before changing its mind later in the day.
The HDFNL will return to action this Saturday.
The Bendigo Football Netball League and North Central Football League are yet to make a decision on their playing status.
The BFNL did play without crowds earlier this year, but not all clubs want to go through that process again.
"It's a difficult one,'' BFNL manager Cameron Tomlins said.
"Whatever decision is made there's going to be clubs that agree and disagree.
"We need to see the guidelines from AFL Victoria as well.
"We'll try to make some recommendations as quickly as we can so that everyone knows what's going on.
In the past the LVFNL has been reluctant to play without crowds, but the clubs decided on Tuesday night that the time was right for football and netball action to resume.
Having already lost two rounds of play earlier in the year, the LVFNL will resume with round 16 this Saturday.
Maiden Gully YCW hosts Bridgewater, Mitiamo travels to Pyramid Hill, Bears Lagoon-Serpentine is at home to Marong and Inglewood hosts Calivil United.
The league will play three home and away rounds before the finals series begins.
HDFNL clubs voted on Monday night not to play without spectators, but that plan changed on Tuesday afternoon.
The league will play round 15 of its home and away season this weekend.
Elmore is at home to North Bendigo, White Hills travels to Lockington-Bamawm United, Huntly hosts Leitchville-Gunbower and Mt Pleasant and Heathcote meet at Toolleen.
The HDFNL plans to play four rounds of home and away matches before the finals series starts.
Clubs across the region will return to training as early as Wednesday evening.
"AFL Victoria welcomes the Victorian Government's announcement that lockdown will be lifted, which means community football is back across the state from this weekend, from Auskick through to senior club football,'' Head of AFL Victoria Brad Scott said.
"With 90 leagues across the state, more than 170,000 registered players, tens of thousands of volunteers, umpires and coaches can now get back to their local clubs and participate, which is fantastic for everyone involved in our game.
"While it is great that football is back, not having spectators allowed does create challenges and we will continue to work closely with the government and health authorities to advocate for what community football needs, while the health and safety of everyone remains a priority.
"We urge Victorians to adhere to the Government's rules regarding spectators, which will help ensure we can get crowds back at community football soon."
