POLICE have charged a man with cultivating narcotics and possessing cannabis after a raid in Maryborough.

Officers raided the property on Tuesday, after receiving several tip-offs from the public.
Maryborough Constable Erin Barkway said police found about eight cannabis plants on the property and a hydroponic set-up, which they seized.

A Maryborough man in his 50s is expected to appear in court in the coming months, after he was charged with cultivating narcotics and possessing cannabis.
Constable Barkway said the result was an encouragement for people in the community to contact police with tip offs.
