Mayor Chrissy Weller said Creative Campaspe represents the council's strong commitment to resource and nurture artistic and cultural activities in the shire.
"We recognise the significant role they play in the lives of our residents," she said
"Just like sport and leisure, arts and culture have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of our residents, vibrancy of our towns and economic prosperity of our shire."
Creative Communities was shaped by feedback received from arts and cultural groups and the wider Campaspe community as part of an engagement process conducted in 2020.
Cr Weller said in developing the strategy, the consultation and research confirmed that people in Campaspe participate in a wide variety of arts and cultural activities in towns across the shire.
"From community events and festivals to exhibitions and workshops, our residents' lives are enriched through the myriad of opportunities available to learn, to be creative and to be entertained," she said.
Other news:
"Through the delivery of Creative Communities, we aim to support an environment where arts and cultural endeavours can flourish and continue to evolve for the benefit of all."
The strategy will provide direct assistance to arts and cultural community groups through advice, grants and resources, council manages a broad range of assets - community facilities, open spaces, civic arts collection and public art.
