Four Bendigo restaurants have collaborated to create a four-course degustation people can enjoy during lockdown.
Masons of Bendigo, The Dispensary, Ms Batterhams and The Goldmines will each create a course for the Lockdown Gastronomy Degustation on Friday and Saturday.
The degustation was created as a way to support businesses that struggle to create takeaway options during a short lockdown.
Food fans will pick up the "assemble-at-home" dinner - which comes complete with instructions to heat and eat - from Masons.
Ms Batterhams owner Rhianwen Seiter said it was nice to deliver something different that features local produce.
"Bendigo has such lovely hospitality community that all support each others," she said. "It is nice to come together and deliver something.
"As member of the hospitality community we feel supported by the local community, they are always keen to support us.
"Everyone understands the challenges and ups and downs that hospitality and other business go through with lockdowns, so it's nice to live and work in a community that supports you."
The degustation menu will include a cocktail and starter from The Dispensary, a Masons of Bendigo entree, main course from Ms Batterhams and dessert from the Goldmines.
Ms Seiter said the multi-venue degustation was something that could bve adapted for diners once COVID-restrictions ease.
"Food Fossickers have done a similar concept which has been a great asset to the event calendar," she said. "I think there are plans to reinvigorate that (walkabout) event, it's nice we are all working together."
