Bendigo Police are appealing for information and public assistance to help locate a Bendigo man James Brown who failed to appear in court.

The 37-year-old is wanted on warrant after he failed to appear in court for assault related charges and is known to frequent the Bendigo area.

Bendigo Police released the warrant just after 1pm on Wednesday alongside an image of Mr Brown in the hope that someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
Brown is described as about 185 centimetres tall with a thin build, fair complexion, brown hair, and blue eyes.
Anyone who sights James or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at crimestoppersvic.com.au or contact the Bendigo Police station directly on 5448 1300.
