Both teams head into the championship match on the back of strong seasons.
Falcons coach Terry Smith said his team gave their best effort at every game during the regular season.
"At the the start of the year I asked them to try hard and always give their best," he said.
"Fortunately, after plenty of hardwork, we've made it through to the grand final.
"As a team, we're very thrilled."
Smith said the squad had shown plenty of development as a whole and on an individual level.
"Every player on the team has been able to get the best out of themselves which has been great," he said.
Falcons head into the grand final on the back of a 23-1 victory over Bendigo East last weekend.
However, come Sunday Smith expected a challenging match-up against Dodgers.
"I expect it to be a pretty tight game," he said.
"But I know our kids always try hard and after the win last week, you can't deny their effort.
"Win, lose or draw, whatever happens we will walk away knowing we gave our best."
Dodgers coach Brad Murphy praised his squad's commitment that secured a spot in the grand final.
"At the start of the season barely any of them had played the sport before and now at the end of the season they have come together as one strong team and loving it," Murphy said.
"They've been dominating."
Murphy commended his assistance from Ken Mills and Troy Murphy throughout the season.
"I can't take all the credit for getting the team to where it is, these guys were a massive help," he said.
"But I am proud of the team and also in myself for teaching them what they now know."
Like Smith, Murphy also expected a challenging game on Sunday.
"Falcons are a very strong competitor, but we'll buckle down and go into the match with the goal to play our best," he said.
"Whatever the outcome, I am proud of them for making it this far."
