Be.Bendigo chief executive Dennis Bice said his group had not specifically lobbied for action but would be keen to share traders' views if invited.
"Certainly, anything we can do to help the business community is something we would look to be involved in," he said.
Both the City of Greater Bendigo and the Department of Transport have signaled they are open to new talks about bus stops on the Telstra Store side of Mitchell Street after landlords revealed they are losing tenants because of crowds waiting for buses.
Traders suspect they lose foot traffic because of the crowds and endure foul language, arguments and fights.
"From our perspective it is not an ideal situation for a bus stop," Mr Bice said.
He would like to see discussions about bus stops on both sides of Mitchell Street and see whether there are ways to draw more shoppers and diners into city centre businesses.
Be.Bendigo is already in discussions with the council about changes expected when a slew of new hotels are built over coming years.
