For the past 10 years, staff have joined thousands of others in giving up alcohol to help raise awareness around the health benefits of doing just that.
More health news:
"We've found doing things like giving up alcohol really does have immense positive effects on your health," clinical director of the Gobbe Wellness Centre Dr Robert Blum said.
"In the past, we've also been able to raise money for many projects and much-needed equipment around the hospital.
"But most recently, we were able to get our Gobbe Wellness Centre up and running because of it."
At the centre, cancer patients are able to take part in a range of wellness programs and activities as they go through different stages of treatment.
"We find when you're going through a cancer journey, there isn't enough focus on the person themselves," Dr Blum said.
"Better wellness leads to better health and I've seen a lot of people thrive a lot more when they do come and take part in a yoga class, reflexology or any of our other mindfullness sessions.
"And if we can raise more money through Dry July, we'll be able to continue these programs and touch the lives of others."
BLS Financial owner and corporate ambassador Adam McKenzie is taking part in the challenge.
"It's a bit like the push-up challenge, we want to challenge a mate and hold them accountable while raising money for a great cause," he said.
"I'm hoping to get a heap of other people involved and encourage anyone thinking of taking part to do it.
"It's great because you know the money will stay locally and help people here in Bendigo."
