The Creative Classrooms program sees Arena's award-winning theatre-makers work with local and regional primary schools to inspire students.
"We were thrilled to see Arena Theatre Company relocate to Bendigo in 2018 and have collaborated on several fundraising projects to support the extraordinary work of this amazing company, to ensure as many local young people as possible are able to engage with the powerful and high-quality theatrical experiences this company consistently produces," Ulumbarra Foundation chair Carolyn Stanford said.

"The Ulumbarra Foundation is committed to broadening access to quality performing arts experiences for our local young people, so this opportunity to support Arena's work and have our gift doubled is a wonderful opportunity for our community."
The donation forms part of Arena's end-of-financial-year fundraising campaign to reach $50,000. The fundraising campaign is also backed by Creative Partnerships Australia's Plus 1 program meaning the total raised by Arena can be doubled.
Following the Ulumbarra Foundation's donation, Arena had raised $41,395 of their $50,000 target.

Arena's artistic director Christian Leavesley said the theatre company was grateful for the foundation's donation.
"Great things happen when values and priorities align, as they do between the Ulumbarra Foundation and Arena Theatre," he said. "This donation will go directly towards providing transformational arts experiences for young people in Bendigo who would not otherwise have access to our programs.
"There is nothing more satisfying for us than helping children and young people access their creativity, and in the process realising their own potential and power in the world. We also thank Creative Partnerships Australia for their commitment to doubling donations received."
