Bendigo's headspace raised more than $20,000 in June as part of the nation-wide Push-Up Challenge.

At the start of the month, youth reference group member Jed Zimmer set himself the task of completing 1000 push-ups a day and walking the length of a marathon as well as 3318 push-ups on June 30.
Mr Zimmer started his final day's efforts in Heathcote just after 4am, walked alongside his mates to Bendigo headspace and completed the push ups along the way.
He arrived at Bendigo headspace about 4.30pm to family and friends applauding his efforts.
"I don't feel too bad, a bit sore," he said. "The boys made it easier."

The Push-Up Challenge encourages participants to complete a total of 3318 push-ups across 25 days and highlights the horrendous statistic that 3318 people died by suicide in Australia in 2019.
"Rewarding is definitely the word that comes to mind," he said.
"For me, it's shown me the importance of raising awareness and community. The more the message gets out and the awareness you raise, it shows how much reach mental health has.
"People you don't think will be affected, are."
