New data from Crime Statistics Agency data shows there were 731 family incidents reported to police in the Campaspe region in the 12 months to March this year.
In light of the new data, CFVAG chairwoman Yvette Jaczina said the group recognises the need to work with the local community.
Ms Jaczina said the group would encourage greater understanding of gender equity and create meaningful ways that assist others to challenge attitudes and behaviours that contribute to gender inequality.
"We know family and domestic violence is both a cause and consequence of gender inequality," she said.
"Our strategic priorities for the next year recognise the need to work alongside victim-survivors and bring others into the conversation, to help us prevent family violence before it starts."
CFVAG exists to drive greater integration and coordination of local services, for all those experiencing family violence in Campaspe.
The group aim to prevent family violence before it occurs through evidence-based action on gender inequality in all settings across the community.
The CFVAG strategic priorities include facilitating a region that promotes organisations and communities to be gender equitable in their practices, promotes equal and respectful relationships and understands the gendered dynamics of family violence.
Other news:
It also promotes and values women's equal participation in public and private life.
The group will also prioritise facilitating a service system that has the understanding and capacity to respond appropriately to all who experience family violence in Campaspe.
The priorities and actions will be launched on Thursday at Cadell on the Murray Motel in Moama from 2pm-4pm.
The launch will include addresses from Gender Equity Victoria chief executive, Tanja Kovac, and family violence survivor advocate, Nicole Lee.
