After five months of searching, the winner, who wished to remain anonymous, finally came forward to take home their prize on June 22.
Echuca Square Lotto co-owner Gavin Sullivan said he couldn't be happier to hear that his winner had discovered the exciting news at last.
"This has made my day," he said.
"Lately, we have had so many people coming in to check their tickets after seeing so much about the mystery winner on the news.
"So many people hoped they were our division one winner, so we couldn't be happier to hear the winner has now claimed their prize."
The winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in the Set for Life draw 1996, drawn on January 22.
Their prize will be paid in instalments of $20,000 a month for 20 years.
