The 22-year-old man appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Thursday after he was charged with offences including driving in a dangerous manner.
The man told the court he wanted to plead guilty, but the magistrate adjourned the case to next month so the prosecution could consider a downgraded charge with lesser penalties.

The court heard about 6.30pm on November 30 last year, the man pulled out onto Condon Street in Kennington.
Police said the man used his Holden Commodore to perform burnouts over two lanes of traffic while his friends watched on.
The burnouts were about 100 metres in length and produced a large amount of smoke. The incident was captured on dashcam footage.
The court heard police attended the man's workplace on December 1 and he made full admissions.
He told police he understood his driving was dangerous, but said he had been "peer-pressured' into doing it.
The man's car was impounded under the hoon driving legislation.

The court heard in the early hours of January 25, an off-duty police officer heard the man performing burnouts on the Calder Highway in Elphinstone.
The officer heard two car tyres pop and spotted the man removing the damaged tyres from the vehicle.
On-duty police officers arrived on scene and spoke to the man. He admitted to the offending and told police he was "just being an idiot".
Magistrate Patrick Southey said the man would need to lose his driver's licence as a result of the offending.
But Mr Southey said the suspension period could be shorter and a good behaviour bond was within range if the prosecution proceeded on lesser charges.
The magistrate adjourned the matter to July so the prosecution could have time to evaluate the charges.
Mr Southey asked the offender to avoid performing burnouts in the meantime.
"I hope you're going to be smarter than that," the magistrate said.
