GENERAL
* 387,793 recorded criminal incidents, down 5.1 per cent on the previous year
* 532,271 recorded offences, down 1.8 per cent
* 208,294 alleged offender incidents, up 30.6 per cent
* 14,941 alleged offender incidents with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status, up 16.6 per cent
* 265,773 victim reports, down 18.4 per cent to their lowest level since 2011
* 32,154 drug possession and use offences, up 17.4 per cent
THEFTS, BREAK-INS, ROBBERIES AND SERIOUS ASSAULTS
* 44,000 fewer thefts compared to the previous 12 months
* 30,000 fewer home and business break-ins
* 5500 fewer cars stolen, down 26 per cent
* 1500 fewer people robbed on the street, down 37 per cent
* Almost 1000 fewer serious assaults
FAMILY VIOLENCE
* 112,432 family violence-related offences, up 11.3 per cent
* 92,999 family incidents, up 8.2 per cent
* 53,285 family violence order breaches, up 18.4 per cent
* 16,264 family violence-related common assaults, up 5.9 per cent
* 46,782 family incidents resulted in at least one criminal offence, up 6.3 per cent
COVID FINES
* 37,939 fines for breaching health directions
* 2000 reviewed and withdrawn, 2000 taken to court
* 25,000 defaulted to Fines Victoria
* 25 per cent paid to date
