In what was her fifth time competing at nationals, Rosewall teamed up with Port Macquarie local Max Glasse in the B1/B2 drawn pairs.
The duo were put to the test on their journey to the top as their first game was against the B1/B2 singles gold medallists.
However, despite the challenge they buckled down to take the first game 13-10.
In the next match they defeated their opponents 24-3 which booked them a spot in the gold-medal match against a NSW/QLD pairing which they comfortably won 22-3, which also marked Rosewall's first gold medal at nationals.
Rosewall, who has been classified as having a vision impairment classification of B2, always has husband Brian and guide dog Letty by her side when she competes.
"Elated is the best way to describe how we felt after the win, " Brian said.
Brian couldn't be prouder of his wife and what she's achieved, but he was also pleased to be alongside her as director as she rolled her way to gold.
Each bowler has what's called a director, an assistant who helps the player line up and ensure they have the bowl at the correct bias and weight.
The rest all comes down to instinct.
After a stroke in 2013 Margaret was left with little vision, but that hasn't stopped her from getting out and continuing to do what she loves.
"This just shows that just because someone has a disability it doesn't mean you need to stop playing sport," Brian said.
After the gold medal performance there were a few days of rest before Margaret returned to the greens to try-out for the national blind squad that is scheduled to compete at the world championships in Queensland in 2022.
After a successful trial Margaret was selected as one of 14 players chosen for the Australian squad.
"Just getting into the squad is a big achievement in itself," Brian said.
"It shows the world is your oyster if you put in the hardwork."
Bowls is close to their hearts and most days you will find Brian, Margaret and Letty down on South Bendigo's greens practicing.
