Basketball Victoria and the league have agreed to postpone this weekend's scheduled round nine matches irrespective of any changes to current government restrictions.
As a result of the postponement, the season fixture has been revised down to 20 games from the original 22, due to the scheduling of NBL1 finals in September.
The plan is for BV and NBL1 South to recommence games the following week in round 10 on June 25, which is an important round that will shine on a light mental health.
Further information on the revised NBL1 South schedule will be released soon.
BV and NBL1 South will continue to follow relevant health and safety advice from authorities.
"The community's health and safety is paramount and we will continue to follow the latest guidelines and requirements," the league said in a statement.
Braves men sit eighth on the ladder with a 5-3 record, while the women are fifth with a 6-2 record.
Meanwhile in other basketball news, Braves are preparing to hold a school holiday super camp.
Children aged 5-15 will be able to attend the two-day program at the Bendigo Stadium on June 29-30 from 10am-3pm.
The camp's coaches Tess Madgen and Ray Turner will be supported by other Braves who will work with the participants to improve their overall skills on the court.
