The Bendigo Baseball Association community will band together this Sunday for one of the most important rounds on the calendar, the annual Matty34 Memorial Round.

The round is held in memory of former Scots baseballer Matty who tragically died in 2013 from an asthma attack.
Now eight years on, Matty's mother Julie was thrilled to see her son's legacy live on strong within the baseball community.
"He touched a lot of hearts," Julie said.
"It's such an honour to celebrate his life by bringing the community together and enjoying a great day of baseball, just as Matty would've loved."
Scots and Falcons will compete for a perpetual trophy that has been running for eight years, in addition to a new smaller cup which the association's other teams will play for.
However, the aim for the day is less about sport and more about Julie's greater aim, raising funds for Asthma Australia and awareness on DonateLife's importance in shining a light on organ and tissue donation.
"Matty was generous in life and generous in the afterlife," Julie said.
"With an asthma plan you can lead an almost normal life without restriction.
"We want people to know they don't have to let asthma stop them from being active."
Julie takes great comfort knowing her son helped change the lives of 43 people through organ donations.
"I want to be remembered for the life I gave and the life I lived. Be a hero, become an organ donor," The Matty34 Legacy.
Team Matty has strong supporters in Matty's siblings Luke, Brianna and Cassie as well as his step-father Warren Smith who was his junior coach and also led Scots seniors for many years.
The round nine memorial matches will be held on Sunday at Albert Roy Reserve in Eaglehawk, with junior games starting from 8am.
There will be a BBQ and coffee from Matty's highly-skilled barista sister Cassie.
Matty's surname has been withheld as Australian law restricts the identities of donors being shared.
