Crews have been called to the scene at Argyle, just south of Heathcote's township.
An SES crew and paramedics have been called to the scene.
The man is understood to not be trapped any more.
Ambulance Victoria says paramedics remain at the scene and are treating the man for scrapes and minor bleeding.
They said the incident appeared to be less serious than they originally feared when the call came in at roughly 10.30am.
CFA crews were initially paged to attend but the were quickly told they were not needed.
