An Echuca Police spokesman said the incident occurred at 4.45pm on Monday when the truck driver failed to turn right from the Murray Valley Highway into John Allan Road near Wyuna.
"There was a motor vehicle travelling west along the Murray Valley Highway towards Echuca and was approaching the John Allan Road intersection when a truck travelling east failed to execute a right-hand turn into John Allan Road and collided head on with the motor vehicle," the spokesman said.
"Both of those vehicles collided with a vehicle that was waiting to turn on John Allan Road.
"The male driver of the first vehicle was from Echuca and was trapped. He was released by CFA and Echuca-Moama Search and Rescue volunteers.
"The driver of the truck was uninjured and the occupants of the second vehicle had minor injuries and were taken to hospital."
