Two new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in a Melbourne apartment complex, the state government said.
Officials have been carrying out targeted testing of residents of the complex in Southbank after authorities established a link between two coronavirus cases who live there.
Victoria's Health Minister Martin Foley confirmed on Monday that a case reported over the weekend lives in the same Southbank townhouse complex as a worker from Arcare Maidstone, who earlier contracted the virus via the aged care facility.
The further cases were confirmed on Tuesday morning. In response, the number of close contacts at the site has been increased, putting more people into lockdown for 14 days.
More news:
Three people have been moved to hotel quarantine, testing commander Jeroen Weimar confirmed.
Meanwhile, Mr Foley said new bookings for people to receive a Pfizer vaccine were being restricted to ensure there were enough supplies to provide second doses.
"We have the supply to meet all those second doses... but we can't keep doing first doses at the rate we would like to," Mr Foley said.
He added that there was capacity in the system for people aged over 50 to access the AstraZeneca vaccine.

On Friday, acting premier James Merlino warned that Victorians shouldn't become complacent after the state recorded no new COVID-19 cases.
He said while a day of zero cases was a terrific result, the concern about recent outbreaks were nowhere near over.
Chief health officer Brett Sutton agreed and said many people were still in isolation after being in contact with people who had tested positive for the virus.
