Demons had a tough run in recent rounds but the 37-goal winning performance over the Cats comes as a boost for coach Lauren Bowles.
"On Saturday it was the best we've clicked as a team so far this season as the girls just stepped it up and performed exceptionally well." Bowles said.
"We have a new team and it's taken a little while to find that connection and understanding in how each other plays. It all came together on the weekend and I couldn't be prouder of the girls."
"We were pumped up and ready for a good win over Lockington (LBU) after the challenging run leading up which included a loss to Elmore and a draw with Mount Pleasant."

Bowles said the team set simple quarter-by-quarter goals as the foundation for the game-plan to overcome the Cats.
"Every quarter we aimed to put 15 goals on the scoreboard. We were able to put 20 on in the first which started us off really well," Bowles said.
"It was important to have a goal and game-plan for every quarter as it ensured we played at our best to get back on the winner's board."
Meanwhile, ladder-leader Elmore continues its reign over the league with a 27-goal win over North Bendigo, final scores 69-42.
Bloods are the only undefeated squad in the league and sit on top of the ladder with 32 points ahead of Colbinabbin (24)
Huntly had a nine-goal win over Leitchville Gunbower to stake their place within the top five on the ladder, final scores 44-35.
Mount Pleasant put another win on the board with a strong 35-goal win over Heathcote, final scores 69-34.
Colbinabbin had the bye.
