The LVFNL board and club delegates met on Wednesday night where they decided to put off a return to play for senior footballers and netballers for another week.
Under-18 football, 17-and-under netball, 15-and-under netball, 13-and-under netball and mini's netball will go ahead.
"Loddon Valley Football Netball League is about our community,'' league president Simon Tuohey said in a statement.
"Without timely and clear direction from the State Government and limited crowd capacities, clubs deemed it not viable to proceed with round eigh senior matches.
"Whilst this is disappointing not to proceed with senior matches for football and netball for a second week in a row, further easing of restrictions next week will hopefully support the resumption of all competitions in the LVFNL."
The league ruled no points would be awarded for any round eight competition matches in the senior football and netball grades.
The league has lost rounds eight and nine from its 2021 fixture.
Should restrictions ease next week the league will resume on June 19 with its round 10 fixture.
Scheduled games are (home teams listed first) - Calivil United v Marong, Inglewood v Pyramid Hill, Bears-Lagoon Serpentine v Mitiamo, Newbridge v Maiden Gully YCW.
Meanwhile, the LVFNL is not the only league to delay the return of senior football and netball.
AFL Barwon, which oversees the Geelong and Bellarine leagues also decided to sit out another week because of concerns over the viability and management of a cap of 150 people at outdoor venues.
"It is also our belief that the burden and stresses on volunteers to facilitate matches under current restrictions was too much, with patron and facility use limits,'' an AFL Barwon statement said.
