WHITE Hills will have an extended break before its first final if the Demons maintain top spot on the ladder under the Heathcote District Football-Netball League's revised fixture.
The HDFNL has reworked the fixture for the remainder of the home and away season to accommodate the pushing back of the grand final from September 4 to September 18.
If the season progresses from this Saturday without any further disruptions, the revised fixture will allow for an uncompromised 18 round home and away season where all teams play each other twice.
The season essentially picks up from where it left off, with the pause button having been hit after round seven due to consecutive weeks where restrictions forced games to be called off.
The season resumes with the round eight (June 12) and nine (June 19) matches that have been missed out on over the past fortnight.
All games then being played on June 26, July 3, July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31 and August 7 remain as originally scheduled, only their round numbers have been changed.
What would have been rounds 10 and 11 in the original fixture have now pushed back to become rounds 17 (August 14) and 18 (August 21).
Under the new fixture, White Hills now has the bye in the final round.
The undefeated Demons currently sit at the top of the senior ladder, and if they stay there come the end of round 18 would then have 21 days between their round 17 game against Leitchville-Gunbower and the second semi-final.
