Social gatherings, visitors and leaving home
You can leave home for any reason.
You cannot travel to metropolitan Melbourne, except for work or education , necessary goods and services, care and compassionate reasons or to receive COVID-19 vaccination at the nearest vaccination centre to home.
Private gatherings in the home are limited to two adults a day together or separately. Dependants of visiting adults are excluded from the cap.
Public gatherings are permitted for up to 20 people.
People who can work from home, should continue to work from home.

Masks
Masks must be carried at all times.
They must be worn indoors except if at home, or if an exception applies.
They must be worn outdoors where 1.5 metres physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Work
If you can work from home, you should continue to work from home.
Capacity limits in workplaces such as offices are capped at 50 per cent or 20 people, whichever is greater.
Religion, funerals or weddings
Religious gatherings and ceremonies are permitted for up to 150 people at a venue, including no more than 75 indoors. A density quotient of one person per four square metres applies.
Funerals, both indoors and outdoors, are permitted with 75 people plus those necessary to host the funeral. Children under 12 months old are not counted towards this cap.
Indoor and outdoor weddings are both permitted with no more than 20 people, including the two people getting married, a celebrant and two witnesses.
Education
Early learning centres, childcare, kinder, family day care and schools remain open.
For those in higher education and training, if they can study from home, they should continue to do so.

Indoor physical recreation and sport is open with a density quotient of one person per four square metres with a maximum venue capacity of 150 people, including no more than 50 indoors.
The same rules apply to indoor play centres, indoor skateparks and indoor trampolining centres.
Maximum group size is 10 people indoors and 20 outdoors.
Community sport is open for all ages, training and competition within region Victoria, but people cannot travel into metropolitan Melbourne for community sport.
Outdoor sport and recreation
Outdoor physical recreation and sport are open with a density quotient of one person per four square metres and a maximum venue capacity of 150 people, including no more than 50 indoors.
Outdoor play centres and outdoor skateparks are open.
There is no venue limit if a distance of 100 metres can be maintained between groups, such as with golf.
The maximum group size is 20 people.
Creative studios
Creative studios are open with a maximum patron cap of 150 people at a venue, including no more than 75 people indoors.
Group sizes are allowed a maximum of 10 people. A density quotient of one person per four square metres applies.
Entertainment and retail
All retail is open.
Indoor fixed seated entertainment venues are open up to 50 percent of seated capacity, up to a maximum of 75 people in a venue.
There is a group limit of 10 people.
A density quotient of one person per four square metres applies in non-seated areas.
Outdoor fixed seated entertainment venues are open up to 50 per cent of seated capacity, with a maximum of 150 people.
Electronic gaming is open to a maximum of 50 people in a venue, within the overall hospitality cap. A density quotient of one person per four square metres applies.
Additional controls apply to spacing of gaming machines.
Hairdressing, beauty, personal care
Hairdressing, beauty, personal care remain open.
People can remove their masks for services. A density quotient of one person per four square metres applies.
Accommodation
Bookings are permitted for single households plus two adults, plus dependants.

Inspections and auctions are open with a maximum patron cap of 50 people outdoors.
Inspections are permitted to a maximum of 10 people, subject to density quotient of one person per four square metres.

Tours and transport
Indoor and outdoor tourism is open, with a maximum of 50 people outdoors and 10 people indoors.
The maximum group booking size is 20 people outdoors and 10 people indoors, subject to a density quotient of one person per four square metres.
Hospitals and care facilities
No visitors are permitted into healthcare settings, except for end-of-life reasons, as a support partner for birth, or as a parent to accompany a child.
Non-essential contractors are restricted from entry.
