2pm:
Only 51 central Victorian properties remain without power after a b-double hit a power pole on Piper Road on Tuesday morning.
Bendigo police Acting Sergeant Peter Clarke said officers were notified of the incident at 10.35am.
"A b-double truck struck a power pole in the Mancala Innovative Mining and Civil Solutions work site and brought down the power lines onto the truck cab," Acting Sergeant Clarke said. "The power pole was on quite a bit of a lean.
"There was only a single occupant of the truck who was fine but the incident activated all emergency services.
"Powercor made the site safe by turning off the power and we had to block Piper Road for a good hour.
"At the same time as the incident we were getting calls for traffic lights going out across the city which was quite possibly related to the incident.
"The driver is quite lucky; power lines over the top of the cab, it could've been a lot worse."
A Powercor spokesman said the 51 households without power should by fully restored by 4.30pm.

"The incident was declared under control 40 minutes after first arriving and FRV is working on scene with the local power company."
