Theatre venues such as Ulumbarra and The Capital had returned to 100 per cent crowd capacity before Victoria's latest lockdown but are now limited to a 25 per cent crowd capacity up to a maximum of 50 people.
BVE acting manager Jacoba Kelly said things are still looking positive.

"It's tough but we're working through it," she said. "The most recent lockdown and change of restrictions threw us a curve ball.
"While the messaging is regional Victoria can open again, the capacity limits on indoor seated venues means we have to reschedule performances. We are working hard with promoters and tour operators to find new dates for everything.
"The industry, as a whole, has taken a huge hit but it's great we are all working together on recovery and making sure we can present everything intended to."
Ms Kelly said there was an appetite from audiences to see more live performances.
"Ticketholders have been so easy to deal with and understanding of the situation, which makes things easier for us," she said "While we had a number of shows in the current lockdown having to postpone, we still had lots of things for the future go on sale with strong sales."
Ms Kelly said regional venues were eager to see what restrictions would be updated by the Victorian government on Thursday.

"There is a little bit uncertainty at this point in time," she said. "(It will depend) on what happens on Thursday this week when current restrictions go through. We will work with organisations to help manage plans. Ultimately we want to ensure the shows that can go on, will go on.
"Given volume of ticketholders have at moment, if you have tickets to a show that has been impacted we will contact you. We are working to get information to everybody (via email). The box office is open for phone, online and email customers but our face-to-face counters are closed. They will reopen on Tuesday, June 15."
Bendigo Theatre Company and Nexus Bendigo Youth Theatre still rehearsing
Two theatre companies in Bendigo are optimistic crowds will return to venues before the curtain rises on their shows in July.
Bendigo Theatre Company is set to present We Will Rock You from July 8 while Nexus Bendigo Youth Theatre will perform Oliver on July 22
BTC president Bevan Madden said the company was preparing for all outcomes.
"We're hopeful that things will open by July but all options are on the the table," he said. "We have missed two rehearsals (during lockdown) but are back rehearsing in groups of 10 with masks on, according to restrictions, in the meantime."
Nexus BYT director and producer Julie Lovell said she was confident the state government would get the current outbreaks under wraps.
"We still have rehearsals going and are enjoying what we're doing," she said. "The kids have really pulled themselves together and been outstanding. You have got to think it will happen.
"Everyone is ready to get back out to theatres and BTC will lead the way (with We Will Rock You)."
