Due to ongoing uncertainty around border restrictions the Vixens and the league decided the most appropriate decision was to remain in Queensland and allow for the season to be played out as close as possible to the original fixture.
The team have been in Queensland since their two-goal (66-64) round five victory over the Firebirds in late May.
Vixens captain Kate Moloney was pleased the team had found a base ahead of the upcoming rounds.
"We are enjoying being together as a group and can now fully settle into the schedule and routine, knowing we're up here for another few weeks," Moloney said.
"Our hearts break for our family, friends and fans back at home. We are thinking of them and using that motivation in everything we're doing, from training to games. We cannot wait to see them."
The Vixens 1-5 are currently on the bottom of the league ladder ahead of their round seven clash against fellow Melbournian squad Collingwood Magpies (2-4) this weekend.
The round seven match dubbed the "Melbourne Derby" will be held this Saturday in Sydney at 5.40PM AEST.
