Late on Monday night or early Tuesday morning, a number of items were stolen from the community house including a safe.
House co-ordinator Amanda Logie said thieves gained access to the building through a window.
More news:
"While there was minimal money in the safe, there was our eftpos machine, bank statements, backup hard drives and keys.
"It's just really inconvenient, we have had to change bank records, change locks and it all adds up ... we feel violated by this."
Ms Logie said the incident seemed like a targeted attack.
"When you put everything back into the community and into helping people and you want to be empathetic to people, it's gut-wrenching for this to happen to us," she said.
"We literally open our doors and it costs us thousands of dollars to provide our Foodshare program and we provide it for free and these people have just done this to us.
"It's disgusting to think a not-for-profit organisation that does so much for the community can be targeted like this.
"While it would be amazing if everything could be recovered, I don't see that happening and there is just a lot of inconvenience for us."
