BENDIGO has added to its batting and bowling stocks with the addition of Waugh George for the 2021-22 Bendigo District Cricket Association season.
George - a leg-spinner and top-order batsman - joins the Goers from Goulburn Murray club Rochester and has previously had five seasons representing Northern Rivers in State Championships competition.
"He's a really talented player who has been part of the Northern Rivers program since he was about 13," Bendigo captain Nathan Fitzpatrick said on Wednesday.
"The main reason he is coming into Bendigo is he wants to test himself at a higher standard and see what his options are from there.

- Nathan Fitzpatrick - Bendigo captain
"He could potentially open the batting or come in at No.4 or No.5, depending on the make-up of our team and will add to our bowling with his leg-spin.
"I've had a fair bit to do with him over the past five years coaching him in Northern Rivers, so we're excited to have him on board."
As well as the addition of George, the Goers have also announced Chadodh Pathirna as an assistant coach to Tony Ryan, who will continue on as the senior coach for another season.
Pathirana - who previously represented Sri Lanka in under-17 and under-19 World Cups - played two first XI games for the Goers last season.
The Goers finished ninth in the BDCA's first XI competition last season with a 4-11-3 record.
All-rounder Fitzpatrick won the Goers' club champion award for a fourth time by five votes from runner-up Kyle Humphrys.
