Herbert will play at the famed Muirfield Village course in the Memorial Tournament, which is hosted by Jack Nicklaus.
Herbert will go up against one of the best fields of the year, with Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama and Justin Thomas the headline acts.
Herbert, who is coming off a tied for 71st at the US PGA Championship, is in danger of slipping outside of the world's top 100 rankings for the first time since his breakthrough win in the Dubai Desert Classic in January 2020.
With his European tour card for 2022 already secured, the 25-year-old has spent most of 2021 in the United States in a bid to earn his way on to the US PGA Tour.
With the US Open just a fortnight away, Herbert needs a high finish at the Memorial to improve his chances of earning auotmatic qualification in the US Open field.
