Member for Bendigo East Jacinta Allan hinted that lockdown restrictions may differ between regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne after the seven-day circuit-breaker lockdown ended on Thursday night.

"When exposure sites in regional Victoria can be cleared, when we check the case numbers in regional Victoria, and based on the health advice, we will determine the length of the lockdown for regional Victorians," she said.

When asked by central Victorian journalists if these comments could allude to regional Victorian having different lockdown restrictions to metropolitan Melbourne, Ms Allan said "whatever decisions are taken about the lockdown in either regional Victoria or metropolitan Melbourne, they will be based on health advice."

It comes as central Victoria recorded no positive test results despite the state's total active cases climbing to 60.

Bendigo Health's coronavirus vaccination and testing clinics have experienced strong turnouts in the wake of the latest outbreak.

Bendigo Health chair Bob Cameron said 4000 vaccinations had been administered since the Mollison Street mass vaccination centre opened one week ago, with 780 jabs received on Sunday.

About 500 central Victorians were tested for coronavirus through Bendigo Health at the weekend.

"People are really turning out and they're really responding," Mr Cameron said. "People are doing the right thing.

"All the tests have been coming back negative and that's good news.

"But of course, that can change as people can still get the virus many days after exposure.

"Hopefully later in the week we can give the all-clear for the exposure sites in central Victoria."

Bendigo Health urged the federal government to roll out more doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to regional areas and in more health centres as the hospital's dosage count fell to only a few thousand.

"When we first opened in Stewart Street, we had loads of supply," Mr Cameron said. "Obviously the events of the past week has dramatically changed that.

"At the moment we have loads of Pfizer but only a few thousand AstraZeneca. We're expecting more supply and we're hoping to receive it.

"As you know, the federal government promised ample supply but there are issues; you only have to go to any GP and they will tell you those issues.

"Bendigo Health would love to see, and to take some pressure off this centre, those GPs getting far more doses and pharmacies opening up for vaccination.

"If we're going to vaccinate the population, do it quickly."

Ms Allan received her vaccination after falling into the 40-49 eligibility age bracket and encouraged other eligible central Victorians to roll up their sleeves.

"It's all part of our contribution to keeping our community safe," she said. "It's terrific to see how the community has responded.

"What's important is to get as many people as possible, who are eligible, vaccinated and of course it does depend on the supply of the vaccine because we are all operating as part of the federal government's vaccine roll-out.

"We do want to see an increase in supply from the Commonwealth and we know there is the opportunity to do more people within the current eligibility groups pending supply."

Mr Cameron said people could book their vaccine or find out more at bendigohealth.org.au/coronavirus.

"We want to make sure people are booking online and they are using their email as the phone system is overwhelmed," he said.

"We want people to go to the Bendigo Health website, we want them to register, they'll get an email in a couple of days and they can book a spot. If you book a spot, you will get top priority."
