Wallis Collins, Ryan Walker, Jeremy Molloy, Jacob Greenwood, David Tuddenham and Tim McKern completed the grueling walk from Bendigo to Melbourne, finishing up on Thursday.
"Everything went really well and we got it all done and it was pretty grueling on the body but we had a lot of support and raised lots of money," Mr McKern said.
Although the final tally was not finalised, Mr McKern said it was looking like they would raise about $50,000.
More news:
"It's crazy to think that just six weeks ago we had raised nothing and it has just taken off and gotten bigger and bigger," he said.
"Everyone got right around it and having the local support definitely helped us get through it.
"We had days when we were struggling but the community got right around it and to have that support and follow up on our journey was a great feeling."
Mr McKern said all proceeds raised would go towards two local mental health groups - Suicide Prevention Awareness Network and Let's Chat - Mental Health Awareness.
"It's very important to raise money for mental health and we want to break that stigma and get people actively talking and chatting to their mates," he said.
"Obviously the money we raised is important but we also wanted to raise awareness."
