Acting Senior Sergeant and tasking and coordination manager Dale Hallihan hopes a broad range of people will take part in the Bendigo Safety Survey.
"We're really just trying to get some community involvement and feedback to see if Bendigo police are on the right path in addressing the community's concerns," he said.
"The survey kicks off by asking participants what they think the top three safety concerns are and generally we hear back it's things like youth offending, road safety and family violence.
"It's a great chance for us to get an idea from the communtiy as to what they'd like us to be looking at to make them feel safe in their homes or out on the street."

The survey closes on June 16 and gives residents a greater voice in Bendigo Police's ongoing efforts to create a safer community and shape police engagement.
Acting Senior Sergeant Hallinan said the Bendigo Police Eyewatch Facebook page was the main forum police used and the survey will guage how they can connect with the community.
"We want a broad range of people to take part in the survey as everyone has different opinions," he said.
"This will become an ongoing thing. We connect with a variety of people through different community engagement groups on a regular basis but this survey is bringing them all into one.
"It's good for us to hear the feedback and good for the community as the survey is really designed to be a lot more inclusive."
Greater Bendigo Local Area Commander, Inspector Troy Hargadon said the survey is designed to help police address concerns and better support the community.
"Your local police officers are dedicated to working with you in ensuring your safety," he said. "Through this survey, you have the opportunity to tell us what is bothering you in the community, what makes you feel safe or unsafe.
"Capturing pieces of information and piecing them together ultimately keeps us all safe.
"Join the hundreds of other people in having your say and help us develop local solutions for local challenges."
The survey responses will be collated after June 16 and released to the Bendigo force and community on how to implement the findings.
