A high percentage of the players that pull on the Kangaroo Flat jumper on Saturday afternoon weren't born the last time the Roos celebrated a victory over Golden Square.
That win was round eight, 2001, where Flat scored a 21-point victory over a Square side that would go on and win the flag that season.
That 20-year streak shows, firstly, how powerful the Bulldogs have been over the past two decades and, secondly, how young the Roos' senior list is this year.
Golden Square is expected to be strengthened by the return from injury of a number of key players and the Dogs' class and depth will be too much for the Roos to handle over four quarters.
This game is the only BFNL match scheduled for this weekend.
Last time: Golden Square 10.19 (79) def Kangaroo Flat 3.8 (26).
Since 1995: Golden Square 42; Kangaroo Flat 9.
SELECTIONS
Adam Bourke (23) - Golden Square
Luke West (22) - Golden Square
Richard Jones (22) - Golden Square

LODDON VALLEY LEAGUE – ROUND 7
CALIVIL UNITED v INGLEWOOD
2.15pm Saturday at Calivil.
One of the most intriguing games of the weekend as the LVFNL's two winless teams do battle at Calivil.
After really struggling in the first few rounds, the Demons played some good footy last weekend to be within a couple of kicks of Serpentine at the last change.
The final margin blew out to 41 points, but that form might be good enough to get the points over the Blues on Saturday.
Last time: Calivil United 23.16 (154) def Inglewood 6.5 (41).
Since 1995: Calivil United 44; Inglewood 8.
MARONG v BL-SERPENTINE
2.15pm Saturday at Marong.
Marong hasn't been disgraced in losing its past two matches, but coach Linton Jacobs would be drilling his side not to take the Bears easy this week or the losing streak could extend to three.
The Bears have beaten the bottom three teams in their past three games - now they need a top-five scalp to show they can play a genuine role in finals action this year.
Last time: BL-Serpentine 12.12 (84) def Marong 9.5 (59).
Since 1995: BL-Serpentine 30; Marong 21.
MITIAMO v PYRAMID HILL
2.15pm Saturday at Mitiamo.
The Superoos were awesome in disposing of Marong and MGYCW in round five and six and now they face a third tough game in as many weeks against a fresh Pyramid Hill side coming off a bye.
Get the feeling the Bulldogs have had this game marked on their calendar since the draw was released.
This one will go down to the wire, but it's hard to tip against the Superoos on their home turf.
Last time: Mitiamo 11.16 (82) def Pyramid Hill 9.6 (60).
Head to Head: Mitiamo 34; Pyramid Hill 22.
BRIDGEWATER v MAIDEN GULLY YCW
2.15pm Saturday at Bridgewater.
The Mean Machine should extend their winning streak to six games.
They passed their first test of the season last week against Marong with flying colours.
At this stage the Eagles look a couple of lengths off the top four teams.
Last time: Maiden Gully YCW 13.10 (88) def Bridgewater 13.7 (85).
Since 1995: Maiden Gully YCW 25; Bridgewater 24; Drawn 1.
SELECTIONS
Adam Bourke (23) - Calivil United, Marong, Mitiamo, Bridgewater
Luke West (22) - Calivil United, Marong, Mitiamo, Bridgewater

HEATHCOTE DISTRICT LEAGUE – ROUND 7
ELMORE v WHITE HILLS
2.15pm Saturday at Elmore.
These sides met less than two months ago in the season-opener and the Demons won by 112 points.
The good news for Elmore fans is that their side has improved significantly since then. The bad news is that so have the Demons.
It should be a more competitive contest this time around, but White Hills should move to a 7-0 record.
Last time: White Hills 21.15 (141) def White Hills 4.5 (29).
Since 1995: Elmore 27; White Hills 24; Drawn 1.
COLBINABBIN v HEATHCOTE
2.15pm Saturday at Colbinabbin.
Colbo has little margin for error if it wants to be a top-three team, so it must bank the four points against a dangerous Heathcote line-up.
The Saints don't have the talent of the top five teams, but they're well-drilled and play hard. If Colbo doesn't produce some solid, team footy then we could see an upset result.
Last time: Colbinabbin 15.9 (99) def Heathcote 9.6 (60).
Since 1995: Colbinabbin 37; Heathcote 21.
LBU v LEITCHVILLE-GUNBOWER
2.15pm Saturday at Lockington.
Could be a long day at the office for the young Bombers.
LBU dodged a bullet last Saturday against Huntly and the Cats will be keen to get back to their brilliant best this week ahead of a huge encounter with White Hills on May 29.
Cats should win by plenty.
Last time: LBU 20.7 (127) def Leitchville-Gunbower 7.10 (52).
Head to Head: Leitchville-Gunbower 13; LBU 9.
MOUNT PLEASANT v NORTH BENDIGO
2.15pm Saturday at Toolleen.
Monster game for the home side, who sit in seventh place - well below expectations.
The Blues are expected to regain several players for the clash with the Bulldogs, including prized recruit and co-coach Adam Baird for his first game of the year.
North Bendigo is not the potent North Bendigo of years gone by, but the Dogs continue to get the job done. Key forward Dylan Klemm is in great form.
Last time: North Bendigo 24.12 (156) def Mount Pleasant 10.6 (66).
Head to Head: North Bendigo 29; Mount Pleasant 24.
SELECTIONS
Adam Bourke (21) - White Hills, Colbo, LBU, North Bendigo
