The program will run instead of the standard Victorian Certificate of Education coursework.
Creek Street Christian College principal Coral Maxwell said it was exciting to offer the program to the school's year 11 students.
"We are the first provider in Bendigo so that is great. We have always had a good academic program at our school and a good reputation," she said.
The diploma program runs for 16- to 19-year-olds and allows students to choose subjects from six study areas including English language, sciences and mathematics.
In addition, all students are also required to engage in three core subjects including extended essay, creativity activity service and theory of knowledge.
Mrs Maxwell said the program was a student-centred, holistic approach to teaching and learning.
"We wanted to have a program that fitted with our school already, our school ethos," she said.
"We were also taken by the fact it was an international program and it will fit really well with the Christian aspect of our school.
"Offering this program gives us a point of difference at this college and it's a really well-rounded education."
Nine year 11 students started the program in 2021, with the class set to grow in coming years.
"We have some enrolments already confirmed for next year and that is really pleasing to see," Mrs Maxwell said.
To accommodate the growth, the college received state government funding to construct a new building onsite.
Mrs Maxwell said the school would host an information night on Wednesday May 26 at 7pm.
She said people could call 5442 1722 for more information.
