After an extensive expressions of interest campaign that closed last week, four bidders were today given the chance to secure the property, which is considered to offer significant development potential to the successful purchaser.
Selling agent Tom Harrop, from Tweed Sutherland First National, said the $6.75 million sale price paid by a Melbourne investor represented a yield of just over five per cent.

"This was a staggering result, and a very good result for the owner," Mr Harrop said.
"It just shows the strength of the Bendigo market with Melbourne buyers at the moment."
The seven shops are home to leading businesses including the Complete Garden, Endota Spa, Khong Dynasty, Jacs Hairdressing Salon, Alplifon and APM.
Mr Harrop said the northern end of the Bendigo central business district was continuing to prove popular with investors, and the amount of building activity under way in the area - within walking distance of the Lyttleton Terrace and Williamson Street shops - helped bring a focus to the Bendigo market.
"It's the happening side of town," he said.
Last week, the Bendigo post office building reached $6.375 million in a sale to another Melbourne based investor.
