Strathfieldsaye had no troubles breaking into triple digits against Kangaroo Flat on Saturday afternoon at Tannery Lane.
The Storm managed to defeat the Roos by a clean 107 points 19.19 (133) over 4.2 (26), but the win didn't come without challenges in the way of Flat's strong defensive pressure.
"The Roos were really good early with fantastic pressure which contained us to just four goals in the first," Storm playing-coach Shannon Geary said.
"I don't believe the final scoreboard really reflected their effort throughout the game."
Flat started on a positive note with Kevin Clark booting the first goal of the match, but it wasn't until the fourth quarter until the Roos would see the scoreboard again.
Roos coach James Flaherty said there was some good football played by the team during the first and last.
"But we were well and truly outplayed in the middle two quarters," he said.
"Our tackling was good and the pressure was there but there were too many easy entries for Storm."
Despite Storm having plenty of looks at goals, Geary said there were a few that could've been more accurate.
"There were a few kicks that could've been goals and we'd definitely like to be able to score from a few different angles, but once again their pressure was always there," he said.
Storm's Lachlan Sharp booted a handy 12 goals, while James Schischka, Baxter Slater, Lachlan Gill, Daniel Clohesy, Jye Formosa, Riley Clarke and Lincoln White each contributed one.
Best on were Tim Hosking, Clohesy, Cal McCarty, Sharp, White and Kellan Smith.
Roo's Clark booted two goals, with Brodie Fry and Brayden Sheahan kicking one each.
Best on were Nathan McHugh, Mitch Trewhella, Jakes Hywood, Ben Xiriha, Max Johnson and Joshua Leersen
The best news for the Storm was wrapping up the game without any major injuries ahead of their round six match against South Bendigo at the QEO.
Bloods will be sure to test the Storm after a strong start to the season and on the back of a defiant nine-point loss to Sandhurst in round five.
