The person acquired COVID-19 overseas and is currently in hotel quarantine, the Department of Health says.
The new case was recorded in the 24 hours to midnight and there are currently 16 active cases across the state.
Authorities administered more than 7000 vaccinations on Friday as another 18,517 people got tested for the virus.
It comes as the state government announced on Friday that central Victoria's first mass vaccination clinic would open in Bendigo within weeks.
Once opened the hub will be capable of vaccinating thousands of people against COVID-19 each week.
