Miners (2-1) head into the round four clash on a high after a 40-5 trouncing of Brimbank last week.
For this week's match against Kiwi Hawthorn (1-2) they will be bolstered with several new and returning players.
After an unfortunate hand injury in the final stages of pre-season, Imalka Barba Gunasekara will make his long awaited debut with the Miners.
Also returning to the field after seven years away is Chris Payne who will be looking to slot in the centres.
Kiwi Hawthorn heads into the match on the back of two consecutive losses 7-58 against Wyndham City and 36-48 against Brimbank.
They will no doubt be eager to put a win back on the board when they host the Miners at 1.35pm on Saturday at Lewin Reserve, Glen Iris.
The Fighting Miners compete within Rugby Victoria's Premiership Reserves tournament which features squads from across both regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne.
