NWL women remain undefeated (3-0) and will look to continue the momentum on Saturday at 2PM against a defiant La Trobe University (2-1).
NWL women's coach Matine Rahmani was thrilled with the progression and results of the squad.
"The team is doing really well this year and playing at an elite level," he said.
"This has been shown by our fantastic results which have been achieved with high quality hockey."
Rahmani said the team looked forward to the challenge of playing La Trobe on Saturday.
"They are also within the top four and of a similar calibre to Monash who we defeated last week," he said.
"However, they won't be quite as refined as Monash and will play slightly more ad hoc than being strictly organised.
"What that means for us, in terms of the way we play, is taking any opportunity to capitalise against their structure.
"We need to quickly adapt and change our pace to prevent them from identifying parts of our structure to target."
Areas which Rahmani believed the team had improved so far during the season were: outletting, pressing and most importantly culture both on and off the field.
"Having the right culture and providing support within the right environment is crucial," Rahmani said.
"At times mindset is more important than physical capability."
The women's reserves (2-1) are top of their division's ladder and will also take on La Trobe at 12.30pm.
NWL men (0-3) have a bye, while then men's reserves (1-2) also have a bye.
