The list included architecture wonders from Denmark, Norway, France, Iran, Mexico and Thailand.
A Bendigo Health spokesperson said they were thrilled to be recognised as one of the most architecturally impressive hospitals in the world.
"There was considerable input from staff into the design to ensure excellent patient care and wonderful collaborative work spaces," they said.
"It has exceeded our expectations and more than four years after opening we are still proud to work in this building every day."
Bendigo Hospital was redeveloped back in 2017 and is the largest regional hospital development in Victoria.
Designed by Silver Thomas Hanley and Bates Smart, the building design was inspired by the vernacular architecture and the natural environment of the surrounding communities, and aims to promote patient and staff wellbeing.
Rethinking the Future is a platform that encourages and promotes excellence in Architecture on a global scale.
