Kim Lowe's six acrylic pieces showcase well-known Bendigo landmarks and cultural events.
It can be viewed at the Exhibit B space in Bath Lane's Bendigo Bank Central arcade.
Mrs Lowe returned to visual arts three years ago, though she had been able to find creative outlets prior to that in marketing and graphic design work.
"It's been a time when I've had less family commitments and more of that time to think about and focus on the things I would like to do in my spare time," she said.
"My kids are getting more independent and can pursue their interests on their own now."
Mrs Lowe has recently built a reputation for water colour works of people's pets but during lockdown she had a chance to take an online course on acrylic paints.
Mrs Lowe chose her latest Bendigo subjects because they were the perfect subjects to showcase what acrylic paints could do.
"I thought, 'why not do something on Bendigo's history'," she said.
Mrs Lowe was already well acquainted with the city centre's heritage because she has spent so much time working in and around them.
