The Loddon Gender Equality and Violence Prevention Consortium is hosting the events at the Kyneton Mechanics Institute on May 12 and the Bendigo Lakeside Hotel on May 19.
"Encouraged by the number of people who took to the streets during the Bendigo March 4 Justice to show their rage at the ongoing national crisis that is violence against women and children in all its forms, the consortium is now turning its thoughts to how we can influence government and inform policy," the group said.
The issues discussed at the forums will be used to help the consortium write a submission to the federal government, which is working on a new National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and Children.
More news:
"We know women have had enough of their experiences being ignored; their voices silenced," the consortium said.
"They are demanding change - and joined by an increasing number of allies."
Bendigo's March 4 Justice, held on March 15, drew hundreds of people to Rosalind Park, calling for action to address violence and discrimination against women.
After the rally, organisers vowed to continue their efforts.
The consortium's members include the Centre for Non-Violence, Annie North Women's Refuge, Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health Centre, Centre Against Sexual Assault Central Victoria, and Women's Health Loddon Mallee.
