DANCING FUN
The Spring Gully Dance Committee invites you a toe-tapping event with live music.
This evening of dance will feature music by Cheryl Bailey.
There will also be a supper with tea, coffee, sandwiches and slices all individually served (BYO if preferred).

TAI CHI
Join in with the Kangaroo Flat Library and learn Tai Chi.
This event is for seniors and no experience is necessary.
Welby Holistic will teach a series of gentle, flowing sessions of Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi which will incorporate movement, breathing, invigorating the body and calming the mind.

WALKING GROUP
Join in with members from the Long Gully Neighbourhood Centre Inc and enjoy a weekly walk.
This weekly event will begin and end at the Long Gully Neighbourhood Centre where coffee and tea will be supplied after the stroll.

THE O'KEEFE CHALLENGE
Follow the O'Keefe Rail Trail from Bendigo to Heathcote as part of the O'Keefe Challenge.
The O'Keefe Challenge is more than just a race, it celebrates fitness, nature and the community spirit of the Heathcote region, all while raising funds for the Heathcote Dementia Village Project.

DANCING RETURNS
Dancing returns to the Maryborough Highland Society, so get ready to learn some new moves at these weekly classes.
There will be line, country and Scottish dancing glasses throughout the week.

May Day is a celebration of the contributions and struggles of working class people.
This event is held as a call to action to defend your rights and entitlements.
March will take place from the Bendigo Trades Hall, with a breakfast.

LUNCH AND CHAT
Join with others to enjoy a meal and a chat.

FESTIVALS AND FAIRS
BENDIGO WRITERS FESTIVAL
Bendigo Writers Festival is an annual three-day event that hosts more than 100 writers involved in various discussions.
The festival is celebrated throughout various venues and invites all to experince the central Victorian region.
There are events located at The Capital, Ulumbarra Theatre and the Bendigo Library just to name a few, with all events COVID-compliant.
This years festival will feature international guests, Steven Greenblatt, Nicholson Baker, Amitav Ghosh and David Rothkopf with Australian writers such as James Boyce, Steve Carroll, Zoe Daniel, Zana Fraillon, Hilde Hinton and Samuel Johnson just to name a few.

MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS
OTIS FOUNDATION
Celebrate Mothers Day with a fundraising event.

EXHIBITIONS
IN CONVERSATION
For decades renowned artist Melinda Harper has created abstract art across different mediums, including paintings, tapestries, ceramics and sculpture.
Recognisable for her understanding of colour placement, and in conjunction with the Castlemaine Art Museum's In Conversation series, Harper has selected a range of works from the collection to present in dialogue with her own.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS
Local artist Beverley Downie is exhibiting many of her works at the Castlemaine Market Building.
Beverley Downie is celebrating 50 years of art with paintings, prints, textiles, quilting, fabric boxes, costumes and landscape collages.
This is a rare opportunity to view and even purchase fine examples of Beverley's work.

ART MOST FOWL
Art Most Fowl is an exhibition that celebrates printmaking and imagery inspired by the natural world.
Two artists, Bridget Farmer and Rhyll Plant unite with an appreciation for the nature of birds.
Farmer's work explores drypoint engraving while Plant's depicts subjects through wood engravings.

'AFTER ALL THIS TIME'
After All This Time is an exhibition by digital illustrator and painter Sarah McDonald, who is inspired by the green spaces of her hometown.
This exhibition explores a return to childhood with the art making that was lost somewhere after art school.

NATURE ARTISTS
Naturally Inspired showcases how botanicals and flora can signify cultural, historic, geographic, social and scientific ideas.
The exhibition features 12 professional artists from the Bendigo Botanic Gardens illustrators, contemporary and traditional nature artists known as the Friday Group.
These works explore a relationship of plants and nature.
The Friday Group was founded in 2005 and was originally led by formally trained artists.
The popularity of the group is increasing every year with up to 15 regulars.

MARY QUANT: FASHION REVOLUTIONARY
The Bendigo Art Gallery is proud to present Mary Quant: Fashion Revolutionary, an exhibition on the British fashion designer Dame Mary Quant.
The exhibition is on loan from the Victorian and Albert Museum in London and showcases the peak of Quant's career with never-before-seen fashion and radical designs.
The exhibition brings together more than 110 garments, along with accessories, sketches, photos and much more.

18 Families is an exhibition by First Nations artist James Henry.
This exhibition recognises the 18 ancestors whose descendants make up the Jaara community living in and around Castlemaine.
James Henry presents photographs of four families on country or in local parks.

#PEREMPUAN 2021
#Perempuan 2021: Contemporary Indonesian Art is an exhibition that celebrates the unspoken stories of Indonesian women.
The works, selected from the Project Eleven Collection, explore activism and traditions through a broad range of art forms including painting, textiles, sculpture and installation.

HEAVENLY
Heavenly is the latest exhibition from the Castlemaine Costume Museum, a privately owned collection of fashion, ephemera, and stories.
Christening gowns, baptismal bonnets and capes, hand-stitched French first communion outfits, accessories and more will all feature in this exhibition.
While the exhibition features costumes from the 1850s to 1970s, there is a focus on the transitional bridal fashion through the 1960s.
