Deliveroo Australia's Joe Satari said to celebrate, the food delivery app is paying homage to the city's golden history, offering locals the chance to order a selection of limited-edition gold dishes.
He said locals can 'dig for gold' in their food orders, with one order hiding an unique gold card worth $5000.
"Bendigo was literally built on gold, so what better way to celebrate our launch and the city's history than by offering a selection of gilded dishes for locals to feast on?" he said.
"As we celebrate Bendigo's golden legacy, locals ordering the special gold dishes should keep an eye out for the first ever Deliveroo Gold Card available in Australia.
"The lucky winner will bag themselves $5000 worth of Deliveroo credit to be used to order their favourite dishes from local restaurants time and time again."
Other news:
Customers can get their hands on the limited-time gold dishes from participating local restaurants including Hustler, Little Asia, Sargun Indian Tandoori, Khang Thai and Flight Bar.
All dishes will be available to order via the Deliveroo app from April 26 until May 2.
