LOCKINGTON RALLY
Lockington's 23rd rally is ready to run with exhibitors, vintage vehicles and machinery.
After the 2020 COVID-19 cancellation, the committee and town is excited to showcase all the great things in Lockington.
The Lockington scarecrow display competition will also be held in the town at the same time.
Entry to the rally is $10, primary school students are free to enter if accompanied by an adult.

MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE FUNDRAISER
Enjoy performances by local talents all while raising money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) this weekend.
Peter Sheahan's Walk Up's have been raising money for many foundations for over 10 years.
This event will include all kinds of music, poetry, yarns, country, rock and blues.
There will be performances by Les Smith, Dawn Gerrish, Rod Fraser, Sandy Thomson, Evelyn Sheahan, Ken Bice, Olive Bice, Bendigo Bill, Floreena Forbes, Rod Briant, Annette Sharp and many, many more.
Walk up artists are welcome.
This event will also include lucky people prizes and afternoon tea.

WILLIAM FARMER FUNERAL DIRECTORS OPEN DAY
Join William Farmer Funerals this weekend to explore their state-of-the-art facility in Eaglehawk.
The team will be available to answer all your questions, provide advice and guidance, and take you on a tour of the facility.
There will be displays and other local organisations and suppliers providing their invaluable and experienced advice.
The Bendigo Crematorium will also be conducting tours to allow you to learn a little more about cremations and the process undertaken.
There will also be tea, coffee and refreshments available as you visit this family business.

WRITERS EXPLORE
Join Christine Cummins for a workshop on exploring personal stories and bringing them to life.
Christine Cummins spent five years working on Christmas Island as a torture and trauma counsellor. She returned to mainland Australia and started to write about her experiences.
Christine uses these stories to express the suffering experienced by people forced into the position of fleeing their homelands in her book Dignity in a Teacup: True Stories of Courage and Sacrifice.
Please bring pens and paper, COVID-19 conditions apply. Participants will be required to sign-in with name and contact.

STORIES OF BUDA
This series of themed tours and after dark events explores the extraordinay life of the Leviny family of Buda Historic Home and Garden.
This event will offer an insight into 118 years of making and collecting, arts and crafts and much more.
The Leviny daughters were encouraged to pursue artistic interests at a time when women were being given more opportunities to study.
They worked across a range of media including painting, woodcarving, metalwork, needlework and photography.

THE O'KEEFE CHALLENGE

TINY TOWNS ART TRAIL
The fifth annual Tiny Towns Art Trail is set over four days with 20 locations throughout Central Goldfields, Loddon and Pyrenees shires.
There will be fine art galleries, gallery cafes, pop-up exhibitions, historical buildings, gardens and much more.
The theme of this year's trail is environment, recycling and repurposing.

DANCING RETURNS
Dancing returns to the Maryborough Highland Society, so get ready to learn some new moves at these weekly classes.
There will be line, country and Scottish dancing glasses throughout the week.

'AFTER ALL THIS TIME'
After All This Time is an exhibition by digital illustrator and painter Sarah McDonald, who is inspired by the green spaces of her hometown.
This exhibition explores a return to childhood with the art making that was lost somewhere after art school.

OPEN GARDEN SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
Back open for another year of showcasing sculptures is the Mica Grange open garden sculpture exhibition.
This exhibition features sculptors from Victoria, NSW and South Australia.
There will be morning and afternoon teas, light lunches, garden art, plants and preserves for sale.

NATURE ARTISTS
Naturally Inspired showcases how botanicals and flora can signify cultural, historic, geographic, social and scientific ideas.
The exhibition features 12 professional artists from the Bendigo Botanic Gardens illustrators, contemporary and traditional nature artists known as the Friday Group.
These works explore a relationship of plants and nature.
The Friday Group was founded in 2005 and was originally led by formally trained artists.
The popularity of the group is increasing every year with up to 15 regulars.

MARY QUANT: FASHION REVOLUTIONARY
The Bendigo Art Gallery is proud to present Mary Quant: Fashion Revolutionary, an exhibition on the British fashion designer Dame Mary Quant.
The exhibition is on loan from the Victorian and Albert Museum in London and showcases the peak of Quant's career with never-before-seen fashion and radical designs.
The exhibition brings together more than 110 garments, along with accessories, sketches, photos and much more.

18 Families is an exhibition by First Nations artist James Henry.
This exhibition recognises the 18 ancestors whose descendants make up the Jaara community living in and around Castlemaine.

#PEREMPUAN 2021
#Perempuan 2021: Contemporary Indonesian Art is an exhibition that celebrates the unspoken stories of Indonesian women.
The works, selected from the Project Eleven Collection, explore activism and traditions through a broad range of art forms including painting, textiles, sculpture and installation.

HEAVENLY
Heavenly is the latest exhibition from the Castlemaine Costume Museum, a privately owned collection of fashion, ephemera, and stories.
Christening gowns, baptismal bonnets and capes, hand-stitched French first communion outfits, accessories and more will all feature in this exhibition.
While the exhibition features costumes from the 1850s to 1970s, there is a focus on the transitional bridal fashion through the 1960s.
