AMBULANCE Victoria has confirmed it has transported a man to the Bendigo Hospital.
The man was taken in what appeared to be a stable condition with upper body injuries.
He was taken by road ambulance.
9.30am
POLICE are on scene after a car rolled down a five metre-deep embankment in Golden Square.
Firefighter crews were called after initial emergency calls from the scene suggested someone could be trapped.
The crews were not needed and quickly returned to their station.
The incident is taking place at the corner of Mackenzie Street West and Oak Street, where the road crosses the Bendigo Creek.
Paramedics have taken a man aged in his 40s to hospital.

Police are investigating whether a medical episode triggered the crash but had more enquiries to make, First Constance Nick Robinson said.
"A man was driving up towards High Street and he was driving perfectly fine until he veered off the road," he said.
The incident took place at 8.55am, police said.
A white Holden Colorado is being removed from the creek.
